My journey with cars started earlier than most — I was just 12 years old when my father, Mensah Megbenyo (now our lead mechanic), sat me behind the wheel and taught me how to drive. That experience opened a door I’ve never closed. Around the same time, I watched the 2006 animated movie Cars, and what started as curiosity quickly turned into passion. Something about machines with personality, history, and potential lit a fire in me.

Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a mechanical engineer. Life had its own path in mind, and while I wasn’t able to pursue that goal formally, I had something just as valuable — a father who was a seasoned mechanic, and a workshop that became my second home. I learned by watching, doing, failing, and trying again.

Over time, I realized I didn’t just want to fix cars — I wanted to restore them, give them new life, and change how people in Ghana view car care and mechanical service. That’s what led me to start OTN — Old To New.
